Lay on your back with your hands on your chest and concentrate on your breathing. Focus on your breath exhaling and inhaling into your lungs. While doing this, count each inhalation and exhalation and feel your hands moving up and down on your chest. It may seem a bit odd but by focusing on multiple simple tasks at once, you will fall asleep quicker and improve your sleep.
Do not use any phones, tablets or laptops an hour before you go to sleep. I’m not going to tell you about however many studies prove this but from personal experience, you get a better nights sleep if you avoid small, brightly lit screens.
Set a regular bedtime and waking up time. The consistency of your day will set your bodies clock and help you get a better nights sleep
